LTKD Update 29th November 2020

Hello to all Students & Parents/Carers,

I hope everyone is well. I’d like to provide an update on a couple of things.

COVID-19

As we come out of national lockdown and into tier system, Derby is in tier 3. UK Government guidance says although leisure and sports facilities can remain open, group exercise classes (including fitness and dance) should not go ahead. It doesn’t mention martial arts specifically, but I think the intent it clear, so it doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to re-open in December. I will keep monitoring the situation.

Authentic Online Patterns Competition

Just before the latest national lockdown you may recall we did a virtual patterns competition. Thank you to everyone who participated. The results are on the Authentic web site and congratulations to Chloe, Bobby, Joyce, Samuel, Daniel and Jenny.

Normally I’d present the certificates and medals in class, but as that won’t be until the new year at the earliest I’ll post them out instead. You should get them in a few days.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch. In the meantime, stay safe, keep well, and I hope we can resume training soon.

Regards

Jamie
