Happy New Year!
Classes re-start on Monday 6th January and I look forward to seeing you back at training. The 2020 schedule is published here.
Grading dates have yet to be advised, but I’m expecting one before Easter, another before the summer break, and finally one towards the end of the year. Regular attendance is crucial to making progress through the syllabus and being ready to grade. As we only have one class a week it’s really important students attend weekly, throughout the term.
Theory – theory – theory! The physical side of Taekwon-Do we can only do in a training hall. However the theory can, and should, be learnt and practiced at home. Please ensure you have the appropriate sheet(s) from this web site (click here) and review them throughout the term. As students progress through the grades remember to revise previous theory as well as learning the new theory.
Finally, I’d like to start the class as close to 7pm as possible, to maximise the time available. Please aim to be at the hall for 6.55pm, and no later than 7pm. That will enable me to complete the register, lock the door, and get the class started swiftly. Thank you.
See you soon,
Here is the class schedule for 2020.
Coloured Belt sessions are on Monday from 7pm to 8:30pm
Monday 6th January to Monday 30th March inclusive
(Easter break, no training 6th & 13th April)
Monday 20th April to Monday 20th July inclusive
excluding Monday 25th May (bank holiday)
Monday 7th September to Monday 14th December inclusive
Although we don’t train over Easter & Summer break, we aim to train during half term unless there is insufficient students available to make the class worthwhile. Changes will be advertised in class and via the web site.

Hope you all had a good summer break. Classes re-start on Monday 9th September.
Look forward to seeing you then.
Very sorry to have to cancel the last class before summer. Unfortunately I’ve taken ill and Garry is away with work.
Hope you all have a great summer and I look forward to seeing you in September.
As previously mentioned, there is no class on Monday 1st July.
Instead I’ll run a class on Sunday 30th June, starting earlier at 6pm, running until 7:30pm.
I hope to see you there.
Due to another commitment we are unable to use the hall on Monday 1st July, and thus there will be no class that day.
We’ve been offered Sunday evening, 30th June, as an alternative. We could stick to the same time (7pm to 8:30pm), or perhaps start earlier (e.g. 6pm to 8pm).
Next week in class please let me know if you can train on Sunday evening, and assuming sufficient interest I’ll run a class.
Coloured Belt grading – Sunday 16th June 2019.
Please arrive between 11:15 and 11:30.
Location: Sutton Bonington Village Hall & Library, St Anne Lane, Sutton Bonington, Loughborough, LE12 5NJ.
From Littleover it’s approx 30 minutes drive.
Please bring your membership / grading book with you (the little black book with your membership card in).
Remember to learn your theory!
There is no class on Monday 27th May. I had planned to run one, but with a combination of football and bank holiday, there won’t be enough students or instructors to make it workable.
So next class is Monday 3rd June 2017.
To help prepare for the upcoming grading, there will be an extra session on Sunday 9th June, 5pm to 6pm (approx).
Sorry but I have to cancel this session due to injury. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
For those interested in having a go in a competition, the entry forms need to be completed please (by the end of next week at the latest).
Entry form on OpenITF website: https://www.openitf.com
Make sure you have all the equipment. See article 7 of the rules.
